I've been a practicing person centred therapist for ten years since qualifying in 2014. I'm committed to providing counselling to adults in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I also work with and support trainee counsellors to whom I offer concessionary rates. My way of working is often referred to as talking therapy.
I'm an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. This means I'm on a register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority which was created to ensure that the public are able to choose safe, ethical and competent professionals for their health and social care needs. For more information please visit www.ncps.com/about-us
I’m also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I'm bound by their ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy. This means that I work with a commitment to client well-being and work to professional standards. For more information please visit
I have a Diploma in the Practice of Supervision through the Leeds Centre for Psychological Development. My core training is the Seven-eyed Model.
I see supervision as a respectful and safe collaborative space to enable practitioners to feel supported, learn and grow through reflective practice and gain a deeper understanding of their client work. It's a space to share honestly about what's happening in practice without a fear of judgement, and explore any feelings that may arise around self-doubt and isolation. Working safely and ethically is at the heart of my supervisory practice.

Thank you for visiting this page. As at November 2024 I'm closed to new trainee enquiries as I'm now working at capacity. This will be reviewed in Spring 2025.

I understand first hand that life can feel overwhelming and confusing and that it can be difficult to reach out.
The overall aim of counselling sessions is to support clients by helping them to work through issues, to enable a happier and more settled life.
I am bound ethically to provide a confidential service. I will not discuss what you talk about in our sessions with anyone else.
As part of my ethical commitment to my profession I attend monthly supervision. My supervisor also works in a confidential setting. I may discuss client work at supervision however I will not give my supervisor any identifying client information.
If I believe someone is in danger of serious harm I may need to break confidentiality in accordance with the BACP ethical framework, this would be discussed with client and supervisor.
I offer short-term counselling and more in-depth, on-going flexible therapy. To provide us with an opportunity to meet and ask any questions you may have about therapy I offer an initial meeting, this will last up to 60 minutes. This gives us a chance to discuss what you hope to get from seeing a counsellor, changes you may want to make, and whether you feel like I am the right therapist to support you. If you’re happy to continue we’ll go from there.
People come to me for help a wide range of issues. I'm a counsellor experienced in helping and supporting clients who are going through emotional difficulties and need somewhere safe to talk.
